If you remember on my first article about ‘How to start a blog' I mention that you should not set the ‘earn money' on your first goal. There's a 95% chances are you won't achieve that goal in 6 months. It causes negative effects which make us feel unconfident until you decided to give up.

Your first goal must be something you can achieve in a month and it has something to do with your next goal, for example ... Goal 1: need to be able to reach the audience through search engine. Goal 2: be able to reach 10K+ visitors every week.

The typical goal that you should accomplish before you think about how to earn money would be your traffic; earning money through blogging always has to do something with the number of your audience.

And that's the reason why I set this topic on step three just after you learn the technical SEO.

There are lots of ways to choose from, and each of them depends on the quality of your blog in terms of traffic, search optimized, target audience and blog design.

1. CPC / PPC advertising

The most common for bloggers are CPC means ‘cost per click' and PPC stands for Pay per Click, they pay you depends on how much impression over a single click. There are lots of them but I recommend Adsense, Yahoo Publisher, adbrite and bidvertiser.

Make sure to browse each of every facts about their services, coz there are lot of ways for embeding those advertising units onto your blog such as adsense for feeds and adsense for video, and be sure you read their guidelines and policies.

2. Monetize your photos

Few months ago adbrite release their new innovative way of monetizing images, and they call it Britepic, it's a new breed of advertising which monetize each of every photos and images you embed for blogging.

There are still some bugs but sooner or later it would be a great hit.

3. Affiliate and CPA

Affiliate accounts are like endorsers they pay a commission everytime someone buys a product through your affiliate link. The most common are amazon, clickbank and ebay.

CPA on the other hand will pay you depends on the visitors actions, CPA stands for ‘cost per action' also known as PPA (pay per action). DoubleClick is one of them which is also part of google.

there are lots of them depends on your subject matter, as for web designer's blog there is monster template, buytemplates, themeforest and a lot more.

4. Pay per post

PPP which is known as pay per post, from the words itself they pay you every post you made. Although some of them required you to submit an article to their site, still you are free to publish it on your blog separately.

The most popular are Helium, payperpost, sponsoredreviews, smorty and blogsvertise.

5. Selling Ad Space

Selling Ad space is the best among all of them especially if you look at blogging as a hobby and for earning extra income just like I am, I never thought of being a full time blogger, I just wanted to compile and share them in here, I'm into searching for something that I can play with, specially if you are into search engine optimization, I believe if you wanted to learn SEO, you will need a blog for your experiments.

One of the most popular was the buysellads they will provide information about your blog to advertisers, their job is to make you focus on blogging and not to worry on your ad space, another one was the Technorati engage it has been launch lately and still in beta.

There are plenty of ways on how to earn money through blogging but all of them has one thing in common, they don't and will never give any success to those who has low on traffic and has a poor page rankings.

So better focus on your blogging and make yourself an internet celebrity.

Oh, by the way make sure to read all of their rules and policies, one mistake will make your blog a legend so better be careful coz ignorance is not an excuse.
